Explore the Eagle - Did you know? 

1. When flying, the bald eagle very rarely flaps its wings. Instead, it soars.

2. During the breeding season, the male and female work together to build a nest of sticks, usually located at the top of a tree. The nests can weigh up to a ton and measure 2.5 m 
(8 ft) across. 

3. After mating, the pair remains together until death separates them.

4. An eagle’s keen eyesight allows it to see fish, their typical prey, up to 1.6 km (1 mile) away.
